Hey guys, what’s happening? How about that month of September? That was really something, huh? Yeah, Red Penguin and I have been booted from our cushy summer jobs into the “real world.” We had an excellent summer of Sun & Fun: Comic-Con, Mysterium, and seeing some of our more reclusive FV crew members in a relaxed social context. All & all excellent, but as I said it has come to an end. After we snuck off the Polar Cruise ship which brought us to Antarctica, we had a several weeks journey to McMurdo Station. Once there we parted ways to our respective educational institutions. I arrived to my posh private college and settled in right quick, but I didn’t hear back from Red for a while. When it comes to him, it’s not uncommon to get the silent treatment. That said, he’s been a unusually hard to get in touch with as of late. He goes to the Igloo City School of Design but this year he’s living in an outer borough, so the internet’s been rather shoddy for him. He’s got some other stories to tell but I’ll leave it up to him to tell them.
So anyway, after all this nonsense, I bring to you a new antiART update. It’s called “I got blood on my hands,” which sounds ominous but I assure you is the lyric in a song by TPB (WARNING: Gothic Country is not for the weak of heart or stomach). I hope you enjoy this piece: half of it came from Los Angeles and the other half came from New York. I’ll leave it up to you to parse which is which, not that it really makes a difference to me.
So anyway, on the topic of updates. Like I’ve said, Red’s internet’s bad. My problem? I’m insanely busy directing The Rocky Horror Picture show at my school. Yes, I am not joking. I’m also taking a class on Fairy Tales and a class on Literary Theory (Freud, Saussure, Lacan — those guys), and then some. I was lucky to wring this update out, but I can’t promise any degree of consistency at this stage. By the end of the year, Red and I plan to take Penguinbros.com in a slightly different direction, to “unthaw” (if you will) certain aspects of the website. Continue sticking around in the meantime, we appreciate your return visits!
